Fundraising 101

All participants who raise/donate $50 or more will receive a new and improved official 2011 SummeRun & Walk t-shirt at the event. This race-ready, poly-pro t-shirt is a great way to promote your efforts raising money for ovarian cancer research. Wear your new athletic t-shirt with pride, knowing that you helped to raise funds to support the important work of the Rivkin Center and their mission to improve treatment, early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer.

(All ovarian cancer patients and survivors will receive a complimentary Survivor t-shirt at the event.)

Online Fundraising is one of the most effective ways to fundraise as an event participant, for a team or for the SummeRun in general. Click here to go to online registration and fundraising instructions.

Donation Forms (pdf) to be returned by mail are another great way to get co-workers, neighbors, and friends involved in your fundraising efforts. Make sure you have your name/your team name on the form so gifts will be counted.

Letter writing is another common fundraising method to get friends and family who are further afield to support your fundraising efforts. See our sample fundraising letter (pdf) to get you started.
